The Maconnais
Nestled between Tournus and Macon, le Maconnais extends over a zone approximately fifty km from north to south and fifteen km east to west.
Here you’ll discover a unique landscape marked as much by the variety of its rocks as the orientation of its hillsides, offering you large, vine-filled slopes.
The top of the Maconnais hillsides are dominated by leafy forests, perfect for a hike. Halfway up the slopes and up to 300 meters in altitude, vines have been planted and cultivated since the XII th century, constantly expanding. The valley offers a few prairies bordering the rivers.
It is not a race, it is a pleasure stroll! Feast your eyes before making your mouth water.
